Normal is not normal
First of all I have to ask the question. What is normal? I am tempted to run a personal experment to see how I can live without people knowing how I live. I really want to just pack up my bags and live on the road for a year. I know there is so much to see and I need to get this push for Freedom out of my system.

Shut down Twice and Loving it.
You’ll love this!!! I got shut down by a women last night… not once but twice!!! And I loved it!!!
I just love it when a girl gives me lip and shuts me down. I normally go for the attack again… I don’t care about winning… its turns from the enjoyment of meeting new people (which if you know me… you know I talk to everyone near me. Just last night I met a nurse, chaplain, shark diver, and a student just in the same spot that this story was made), to having fun messing with her and her ego and letting her know that a guy isn’t scared of an independent women with an attitude or maybe I just like the feeling that she wasn’t able to walk all over me like she does to most guys. I gotta stand up for all the guys out there with fragile egos that have tried to make a move only to get crushed by this “self reliant women” and then because of that they hold off on meeting any new people for a while.
So a group of pretty girls were sitting at Panera Bread last night when I was there for a networking event. I selected my target of who I wanted to talk to. But I am sure that you know the rule, never talk to the target first. Talk to the “Leader of the Wolf Pack” or the girl that is not so pretty because as soon as their on your side…. You have the whole group to work with and then the woman that you want to talk with. Well I use one of my normal ice breakers (I don’t think I have ever used a pickup line, I think there stupid and I can’t ever think of them or figure out how they work. Well my favorite one is “Hi”) Since I coundt find anything to relate to at that moment and she seriously looked like a girl from High School I just asked her the question, “I know it’s been a few years but you went to Cocoa Beach High School didn’t you”. WPL (Would Pack Leader) “I didn’t go to high school” hmmm I was thinking…. That’s a new response. My initial reaction was without thinking. “That’s Awesome (which is my answer to everything), how did you do that. I wish I could have done that…” She is so giving me the look that she doesn’t want to talk to me, she was almost angry that I even opened my mouth to say hi!! Her friend chirps in “didn’t you go to Winter Park” Even more upset she turns the opposite direction from me to continue the conversation from earlier. SHUT DOWN #1.
As of now I have forgotten my initial target and I am into full play mode. J Mena is best at causing trouble.
So about 30 min later her and her party are getting up to leave and I notice they all have huge binders that say Single Women Discipleship. In my mind I see this as the perfect conversation starter. Something that she must be passionate about… People always love to talk candidly about their passions. So I get up and walk strait over to her, and go for round #2 of conversation with her. I start it off with “Wow a discipleship coarse, that’s impressive, what church do you go to? WPL gave me the name of the church and I mentioned back to her… “where is that at, I have never heard of them before? She rolled her eyes at this point and asked where I went in almost a tone that said “how dareth you talketh to me”. As the conversation goes on a little about church she turns it back around to me about what I was doing with some friends and why we were all on facebook. I mentioned that I was doing some business development and networking tonight with a few friends… out of no where she rolls her eyes again and ask… “are you those people that steal peoples facebook pictures and sell them to companies.” In my head I am thinking at this point. You’re a retard and if I was one of those people I probably woundt have the balls to walk to you and deal with your crap. I would be sitting in some basement like a dork. But without thinking I banter back at her, “I already found your picture used it for a few things.” This got her, she had a little bit of a deer in the headlights look it was great. But after a few quick words we parted ways. SHUT DOWN #2
I as I walked away I figured out the name of my book that I am putting together This is what you’re doing wrong… So stop B@$#ing about it!!! I have seen way to many women, defiantly ones that have done something with their lives or are heading towards a positive directions shoot down many times the opportunities that they complain to their friends that they are missing. Studying this is going to turn into a fun journey!!!

“Stockdale Paradox”
“This is a very important lesson. You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end — which you can never afford to lose — with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.” -Admiral James Stockdale
Let me first start by why I used this quote. Later in the chapter Jim Collins ask the question... Who didnt make it out the POW camps. Stockdale's answer: The Optimist..... That one quote changed my life and I knew why.
I know that I have to stop and realign myself. I love a good challange because it makes you do that. Its been a long time since I sat down and analyzed every aspect of my life and gave myself grades. Its one of the most painful process that I know but through that pain you can experience freedom and growth. I know by far I am the worst at lying to myself. Many times my hope and enthusiasm about life and the future can cover of the facts (even though facts can change) or even worse deceive myself.Here are the categories that I must face and grade:
- Financial Discipline
- My Commitment to my daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly goals
- My Focus (Work Ethic)
- My Relationships
- My Faith
- How do I manage my time
- My commitment to building and developing the dream that is inside of me.
- My commitment to my health and well being
Its going to take some time. But I have to put more action behind my words and thoughts.

Why and whats the purpose
You hear blogging is for the weak of heart, its for the nerds and its for the lonly soul. I will have to disagree. For years I have read through many books that talk about the positive effects of journaling. And how to use it as a tool to keep you from kidding yourself and learning how to face reality. Well since my handwriting is a crutch that I will not take the time to fix... Blogging will be the next best thing.
Your supposed to start everything by recognizing the goal and the purpose behind it. (There is no reason to do something without purpose)
My purpose is to improve. I have to become a better me!!! I have to learn how to conquer thyself, get out of my own way, break down only to build back up stronger, learn how to lean less on myself and more on my saviour, and all in all take the path that I was put on this earth for. The path that we were destined to take, the one that beats through every blood cell and takes over my mind constantly.
I really have 9 weeks to really focus. Here is what is on my plate and what is important:

I really have 9 weeks to really focus. Here is what is on my plate and what is important:
- Business - I have to take advantage the economic climate because it is the most prime time that I have ever seen to help other people take control of thier lives and pull themsevles out of where there at. This country is hurting and i have a soultion for them, for thier familes, for thier children. I just have to keep on sharing it and looking for winner out there like myself to take hands together and change our futures.
- Corporate America - I am blessed to have a company contribute to a majority of that income but while I am there I have to be the best and set the bar, the standards of excellence that other have to strive for. You do not do this to run other people in the ground but you do this because your name is your brand, your word is your bond, and people will respect you for what you do and how you treat them. For when its your time to move on, you leave the place better than when you left it.
- Marathon Training: Well this isnt that high up on the importance list but Its there to have fun and push myself further than I have. The first marathon will be fun while the second will be highly competitive. I have to know what my bar is and then i can chase it down and beat it. I am also looking foward to the blessing of being surrounded my heros. Heros that have sacrificed everything for the Ideal that we take for granted called America, called Freedom, and called Liberty. I cant wait to be around them.
- Writing a book or at least have 3 chapters finished in a rough draft format. There are alot of girls out there that dont know what thier doing, they dont know how to get around what they know to meet all the quality men out there. To many are placing themselves in not the greatest situations because they just dont know. Maybe i can help a few.
So all in all thats whats important this quarter.

The Man Who Thinks He Can.
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will;
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you’re outclassed, you are;
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can.
